Circle Energy Ltd ("Circle Energy", "we", "us", "our") is a solar PV and battery storage installation company registered in England and Wales.
Company No. 16985844. VAT No. 515136027. Registered office: 15 Neptune Court, Vanguard Way, Cardiff, CF24 5PJ.
Circle Energy Ltd is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under registration reference ZC125294.
What data we collect
We collect personal data when you:
- Submit an enquiry through our contact form (name, email address, postcode, message content)
- Contact us directly by email or phone
- Enter into a contract with us for installation services
Our website is hosted by Netlify, and our contact form is processed by Formspree. When you submit the contact form, the details you enter are sent to Formspree, which delivers them to us by email. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking services on this website.
How we use your data
We use the data you provide to:
- Respond to your enquiry and provide quotations
- Fulfil any contract entered into for installation services
- Meet our legal and regulatory obligations (e.g. MCS certification records)
We do not use your data for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.
Legal basis for processing
We process your personal data on the following legal bases under UK GDPR:
- Contractual necessity — where processing is required to fulfil or enter a contract with you
- Legitimate interests — for responding to enquiries prior to a contract
- Legal obligation — where required by law or by MCS certification requirements
Data retention
We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary:
- Enquiry data — up to 12 months from your last contact with us
- Contract and installation data — 6 years, in line with the statutory limitation period
- MCS installation records — for the period required by our certification body
Sharing your data
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:
- MCS and NAPIT as required by certification obligations
- Formspree, our contact form processor, which transmits your enquiry to us
Formspree is based in the United States, so information submitted through our contact form may be processed outside the UK. We do not share your personal data with any other third parties except where required by law.

- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request erasure of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Object to or restrict processing
- Data portability (where processing is based on consent or contract)
